AT&T builds IPv6 network for military; 1 million jobs could be created by IT stimulus package

AT&T is building a production-quality IPv6 data network for the U.S. Army in Germany that will cost approximately $23 million when it is completed next year; An information technology think tank is urging Congress to devote $30 billion toward the IT industry, saying such a move will create or retain nearly 1 million jobs, more than half of them at small businesses. Microsoft fixes major IE bug; bye-bye BrainShare

Security experts say that Web surfers should immediately install a new bug-fix for Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser, released Wednesday morning. Novell has alerted customers and partners that it is cancelling its annual BrainShare conference, which was to have been held in Salt Lake City in March, due to would-be attendees’ restricted travel budgets.
