RE: Review: 10Gig Ethernet access switch shootout
I've used both Extreme and Cisco and since they both move packets equally well I have to base my decision on ease of configuration and Cisco blows Extreme away. Extreme's configuration is one big flat-file and there's no pipe or grep functionality. Something Cisco does so simple like STP configuration is a chore in XOS and don't even get me started on EAPS omg what a joke, can you say Layer 2 loop.
